Dr. Jacob graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa in1967 and received his M.D. from the University of Colorado in 1971. He then performed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Los Angeles County—USC Medical Center followed by a Chief Medical Residency year at LA County—USC. He remained at La County—USC for his cardiology fellowship and served as a Clinical Instructor at USC from 1976-77. Dr. Jacob joined the Mission Internal Medical Group in 1977 where he initiated the Cardiology Division. Dr. Jacob served as Chief of Medicine at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center (MHRMC) in 1987 and as its Chief of Staff in 1994. He has served as Chief of Cardiology of MHRMC since 1977 and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories since 1986. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Orange County Heart Association and of the MHRMC Board of Trustees.
