Joey GeeJoey Gee, D.O

Neurology

Dr. Gee received a B.S. degree from the University of California, Irvine. There he was involved with neuroscience research and published. He then attended medical school at the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

He completed a dual internship in transitional medicine and osteopathic medicine at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Johnson City, New York. He completed his neurology residency at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center. In his final year, he was appointed Chief Resident.

After completion of his residency, Dr. Gee was appointed Assistant Staff Physician and Volunteer Clinical Faculty for the department of Neurology and medical school for U.C. Davis while completing his fellowship training in Headache and Facial Pain at the U.C. Davis Headache Clinic, sponsored by the American Headache Society. After U.C. Davis, he practiced general neurology at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, where he also headed the Headache Clinic.

Dr. Gee is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also a Diplomat, American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology Diplomat In Headache Medicine, United Council For Neurological Subspecialties.

He is a published author in the field of headache medicine and a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society, and the International Headache Society. Locally, he is a member of the Headache Cooperative of the Pacific. He joined Mission Internal Medical Group in October of 2007.

Dr. Gee treats patients with headache and facial pain, stroke, Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, Alzheimer's disease and disorders of memory and aging, seizures and epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders and diseases of the peripheral nervous system, EMG/NCV/EEG, and multiple sclerosis.
